Filthy Rich Are Hiding in Survival Condos in Wake of COVID-19
While most people are self quarantining themselves in the wake of the emergency situation of Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, filthy rich have found a luxury way to self-isolate in these Survival Condos. The owner and developer, Larry Hall, has created these condos at a secret site in Kansas.
The Survival Condos were built originally during World War II for hiding out for direct nuclear attacks. However, in present scenario, this place is being used for helping rich people self-quarantine in the wake of the pandemic.
According to the developer, people are requesting him for house tours and one guest has even purchased one unit just after seeing its pictures on the internet. Hall said, “We’ve never had this many people schedule site tours in such a short period of time. The mission is to protect residents from a whole wide range of threats. Everything from viral or bacterial threats and chemicals to volcanic ash, meteors, solar flares and civil unrest.”
The condos boast all luxe amenities that actually seal the deal – as these Doomsday bunkers are no less than a 5-star hotel. There is also an indoor pool, gym, spa, general store, medical first aid center, classroom, library, bar, and more. Furthermore, the place also brings back the nostalgia of its war zone history through some of its features like digital weather station, direct shooting range, security command center, and monolithic dome cap.
Survival Condo has also mentioned on its website that:
The facility also contains all of the necessities to survive in a luxury “resort setting” for as long as 5 years without having any concern for being able to sustain our community.
They have made such claim because the condo is operated by wind turbines and can even grow food and has everything to help the guests with their medical needs. There is also a battery backup system at the facility along with diesel-fueled generators, and a backup food supply that can easily last for many years.
Besides all that, other details like the facility’s unlisted address, intranet network, and virtual window setup are all there to preserve privacy. So, if you have got enough money in your bank account to afford the luxury of this luxurious condo, you may shell out whopping $1.5 million on a 900-square-foot unit, and $4.5 million on 3,600-sqaure-foot condo.
